The job market is particularly tough today and with friends having been put on consultation or moving out of our industry as the economy flatlines, I have a lot of sympathy for them. It’s difficult to have any visibility on whether we are in a property cycle or whether today’s market is one we are having to adjust to.
For those leaving school or Uni this year, I know it’s old-fashioned, but an occasional glance at a newspaper article by a top journalist ( for the price of a coffee) does stimulate ideas.
Ian Cowie #thesundaytimes offers some advice today, which I hope will encourage anyone struggling to find that job offer. His key point is “try to remember that there is a human being on the other end of your quest for employment”.
